Having worked as an organist at Portchester Crematorium for the past 40 years, I have amassed a wealth of funeral experience. I have also trained groups of newly ordained clergy on how to take funerals.

To complement this experience, I trained as a Celebrant. By nature, I am interested in people, their thoughts and actions. By using this trait, I ask the necessary questions to gain an insight into your loved one’s life.

Working closely with the family and the funeral director (if you are using one), I will discuss the life of the person you love, and we will talk about any particular readings, poems or music you may wish to include in the service.

Each service will be created to reflect a loved one’s life, their beliefs, thoughts and opinions. Taking into account the allocated time at the cemetery or crematorium, I will ensure the service flows well and every detail will be arranged with you.

Please get in touch so I can create a personal tribute to your loved one.

Judith is a mature, approachable celebrant with many years experience of meeting grieving relatives and friends. She is considerate and caring, with the fine attention to detail which is required for such occasions. Her empathetic and patient manner will ensure that the pain of loss is reduced as much as may be possible on the loss of a loved one.
